Traveling to Port

Transportation to and from the Port of Riga

Book Port of Riga tickets here!

Riga has good road connections to the rest of Latvia, though the rail network isn't especially efficient. Ferries connect the port internationally with destinations in Sweden, Germany and Finland.

By car, the main transit corridor to Riga is the north-south Via Baltica, which runs from Tallinn to Warsaw through Riga and Kaunas. Riga's ferry terminal is located outside the city center on Eksporta 3a (A-3).
Eurolines offers bus services to many European destinations, with buses travelling to Eastern and Central Europe, as well as Scandinavia. The journey to Tallinn in Estonia is quite straightforward, with journeys taking approximately six hours.

There is a train network connecting the port city to other regions of the country, with connections to Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia also available.

Riga airport provides convenient access to the city from European centres, with direct flights to Riga from Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Helsinki, Prague, Stockholm, Vilnius, Tallinn, Moscow and Kiev.

Riga is served directly by ferries from Stockholm, Lübeck and summer cruise ferries from Helsinki, Finland.

Once at the port, you will find parking space for 200 private cars as well as 100 cargo trailers, with both short and long-term stays possible.
