There is an excellent road network from the port, and in addition to this system, the harbour terminals are connected to the national railway by its own rail network. Ferries link the port with Sicily three times a week.

Connected to the main transport networks, Ravenna is easily reached from the major Italian and European centres. The link to the motorway network ensures fast transfers to northern regions of Italy, the trans-Alpine and northern European countries. The connection with Rome and the South is guaranteed by road E45 and the A14 motorway.

The railway station in Ravenna provides fast and efficient connections to destinations across the country. The terminal has a privileged gate to important road links making it closer to the international airports of Bologna (50 min) and Forlė (30 min).

The port itself is connected to Catania in Sicily, with ferries reaching the island in 36 hours.
