Rail connects Portsmouth with the rest of the UK, while excellent motorways provide easy bus and car access to cities across the region. Sea-crossings are extensive with sailings to France, the UK, Jersey and Guernsey.

Whichever part of the country you are arriving from, you will need to get onto the A3/M27 route to Portsmouth. The city centre and ferry port are linked directly to the M27 by the M275. Follow the M275 to its end - where clear signposting will direct travellers straight to the port.

Frequent train services from London, the Midlands and Wales, terminate at Portsmouth and Southsea railway station, where a short bus ride will bring you to the port.
