Rail, bus and motorways provide excellent access to the rest of France, while passenger ferries connect Le Havre with the south of England. It is also a pivotal sea connection for trans-Atlantic freight arrivals from America.

Le Havre is connected to the rest of the country by the Normandy Bridge. It is about 200kms from Paris on the A131 and has good motorway connections to the rest of France. Just 55 miles south of Le Harve is Rouen, the capital of Normandy.

It has convenient Europe-wide rail links with trains running to and from the SNCF station on Cours de la République. There is also a shuttle bus service to both ferry terminals from the station.
