Port of Kythira

The island of Kythira lies opposite the eastern tip of the Peloponnese - Cape Males. Its scenery is unique, rugged and dramatic, while its architecture is a blend of traditional, Aegean and Venetian elements. Kithira (or Hora) is the island's capital and main port, and is connected to mainland Greece at Githio and Piraeus, as well as the islands of Crete, Antikythira.

The harbour is near the town centre, where there is a good selection of shops and restaurants. There are also public telephones as well as information kiosks available in the port area.
