Transportation to and from the Port of Kapellskär

Kapellskär is connected to the Åland Islands and Finland by daily ferries, while an excellent road network connects the port with the rest of Sweden.

The road from Stockholm to Kapellskär, the E18, is about 90kms long, of which 50kms is single-lane motorway and 40kms is two-lane, high-standard motorway.

There is no rail connection from Kapellskär, however there is a bus service to regional and national destinations. The bus leaves from the terminal to the City terminal in Stockholm and operates in connection with arrivals and departures, calling at Roslags Näsby Trafikplats, Danderyds sjukhus en route.

There is no taxi stand available. Taxi transportation must be booked by phone, and you can expect waiting times of 20 minutes.

Ferries depart daily for the Åland Islands and Turku in Finland, with check-in commencing one hour prior to departures.

Motorists will find a free, unattended parking facility located near the terminal building.
