Transportation to and from the Port of Hanko
Hanko has excellent links to the road and rail systems, while ferries provide international passenger crossings to Rostock in Germany.
The port offers a direct link to the national road and rail network. The new highway leading to the Port of Hanko was opened in October 2001. The railroad leading to the harbour has been greatly improved and provides convenient access to the rest of the country.

If you are traveling from Helsinki by car, take the Highway 51. By Karis town, turn to Highway 53 and continue to Hanko. If you are traveling from Turku, follow the Motorway 1, in the direction of Helsinki. From Salo, turn to Highway 52 and from Tammisaari to Highway 53 and then continue to Hanko.
A bus service between Hanko and Helsinki is available from Superfast Ferries. The price for the transfer from Hanko harbour to the railway station in Helsinki is 90 FIM (adults) and 45 FIM (children 6-12 years).
Superfast ferries connect the port with Rostock in Germany, with sailings every day but Sunday.
Both short and long-term parking are available at the port, and disabled drivers will find specially designated areas near the terminal building.
