Traveling to Port
Transportation to and from the Port of Golfo Aranci
Ferries connect the island on a regular basis with the Italian mainland, while transport around the island is possible by car or on board regional buses and trains.
Sardinia has no highways, therefore should you need to drive from north to south you can drive along the island main road dual carriageway called Carlo Felice SS 131.
The ARST (Azienda Regionale Sarda Trasporti) is the regional Sardinian bus company network. ARST stations can be found in Golfo Aranci and other main cities, with buses connecting the various Sardinian provinces.

The Italian State Railways (FS) (website: www.fs-on-line.com) operates a train network to many destinations on the island from Golfo Aranci, at very reasonable fares, based on the distance travelled.
Daily ferries are available to Livorno, Civitavecchia and Fiumicino in Italy. These ferries accommodate passengers, private cars and cargo vehicles.
Those who arrive at the port with their own transport will find both short and long-term parking facilities available. There are also a limited number of spaces available for those with disabilities.
