The city has a good transportation system, and is well connected to the rest of the country by road and rail. The city is also connected to Sweden, via an international ferry connection provided by Stena Lines.

Those travelling by car will find adequate roads on the main routes, though some very poor roads once off the main arteries.

The Polish rail network (SKM trains) is relatively extensive, with good inter-city connections available. It is an important rail centre with fast local train connecting Gdansk - Sopot - Gdynia; journeys from Gdansk to Gdynia take about 35 minutes. There are also onward links to international destinations across Europe. From Berlin to Warsaw, there are three EuroCity trains during the day and one night train.

The principle airport is in Warsaw, 350kms from Gdynia, though there is another airport in Gdansk, just 10kms distant.

Ferries connect the port with Karlskrona in Sweden. The service is provided by Stena Lines, who offer two daily sailings onboard their high-quality ferries.

Once you arrive at the port, you will find parking facilities for both the short and long-term available. Those with disabilities are also provided with a limited number of spaces.
