Transportation to and from the Port of Dunkirk

Dunkirk (Dunkerque) has good road and rail connections to the rest of the country, while ferries provide an international link to Dover in the UK.

Dunkirk offers direct links to major motorway networks. Dunkirk is a popular gateway into France providing rapid access to nearby Belgium and Holland and motorways to Germany, Switzerland and much of mainland Europe. From the A25 (Lille) join the A16 in the direction of Calais. From the A16 Dunkerque/Belgium, take the exit 24, and follow signs for Port Rapide/Car Ferry. From St. Omer, the D600 crosses the A16 direct to the terminal. From Dunkirk Centre, follow signs for Calais - either the A16 as far as the exit 24 or on the RN1 follow signs to Loon Plage/Car Ferry.

By train it is just one hour from Brussels, 1h 30m from Paris and 2 hours from London (by high speed train.).

Buses depart from Dunkirk to national destinations with Eurolines (tel: +33 (0) 1 43 54 11 99) offering buses to destinations across Europe.

Ferries depart up to 10 times daily, connecting Dunkirk with Dover in England.

Once you arrive at the port, you will find parking facilities for both the short and long-term. There are spaces available for 10 coaches and 70 cars.
