Ferry companies operating from Dublin Port
Irish Ferries' new super-ferry, Ulysses, services the Dublin-Holyhead route. It is the largest car ferry in the world, and can accommodate almost 2,000 passengers. The high speed Jonathan Swift also services this route. The cruise ferry makes two sailings to Holyhead daily, with crossings taking three hours (departures 06:05 and 18:20). The high-speed ferry crosses to Holyhead three times a day, in just over an hour, with both ferries departing from Terminal 1.
P&O Irish Sea Ferries connects Dublin with Cherbourg in Normandy, France. The Dublin-Cherbourg crossing takes 18 hours and departs from 'The Point' in Dublin every Saturday at 12:00, all year around - sometimes the ferry will stop at Rosslare (southeast Ireland), which increases the crossing time to 22 hours. Sailings are onboard the super-ferry, the European Ambassador, with meals included in the ticket price. Foot passengers are not allowed on this route.

Norse Merchant Ferries launched ferries that serve the tourist market, on the Dublin-Liverpool route. There are two services a day to Liverpool, sailings departing from Terminal 1.
SeaCat operates daily crossings from Dublin to Liverpool onboard their high-speed SuperSeaCat vessel. Crossings take 3 hours and 45 minutes. They also service a Dublin-Douglas route daily, which takes 2 hours and 45 minutes. Dublin is also connected to the Isle of Man. Sailings vary seasonally, increasing from twice monthly during the low season, to two to three sailing a week during high season. Crossings on the Fastcraft take 2 hours and 50 minutes and just under 5 hours on the conventional ferry
Stena Line connects Dublin with Holyhead with two daily crossings. Journey time is 3 hours on the Stena Superferry. Check-in times are 45 minutes prior to departure for the Superferry.
