Transportation to and from Cork

Bus connections are available to the city centre and from there to the rest of the country via nation-wide bus and train links. Ferries connect Cork with Swansea in the UK and Roscoff in France.

Follow the N27 (South City Link Road) to the Kinsale Roundabout (follow signs for car ferry), turning left at the roundabout onto the N25 (South Ring Road, signposted Douglas, Ferryport). Take the third exit (signposted Carrigaline, Ringaskiddy Ferryport) to join N28, then continue straight on until you reach the roundabout, and take the first exit off the roundabout to Ringaskiddy. At the next roundabout, continue straight ahead, until you see the ferry terminal on your left-hand side.

There is no direct rail link to the harbour, however there is a nationwide train operating out of Cork city centre, which may be reached by bus or taxi. There are frequent trains to Dublin (3 hours, first departure 05:30), and trains to many other destinations across the country.

Daily bus services are scheduled to Cork and from there to other major centres. The journey to cork is around 12 miles and takes from 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic. The bus departs from outside the ferry terminal on an hourly basis. If you are travelling from the city centre to the port, head for Parnell Place Bus Station in the city centre, from where you can catch a bus to Ringaskiddy.

Ferries leave the port to connect with Roscoff in France, and Swansea in the UK.

Once at the facility you will find car parking for both short and long-term stays available.
