Port of Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia is situated only a few kilometres by motorway from the Eternal City and its international airport at Fiumicino. The ancient harbour is the mooring point for both cruise liners and vessels running to the islands (Sicily and Sardinia). At present, Civitavecchia is Italy's second busiest passenger port, with over two million passengers a year using its facilities.

The port terminal offers a diverse array of services to passengers: waiting rooms, ATMs, left luggage facilities, information bureaux and refreshment bars. Three companies provide sailings to Sardinia: Tirrenia, Ferrovie dello Stato and Sardinia Ferries.

The passenger terminals are wheelchair-friendly and provide disabled toilets, while all ferry lines cater for those with disabilities. Passengers are recommended, however, to notify staff of any special needs when making their reservations.
