Port of Boulogne

Located on one of the world's busiest shipping lanes, the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer is at the heart of Europe, only 15 minutes from the Channel Tunnel and with a population of 100 million within a 200-mile radius. Just across the Channel from Dover, Folkestone and Ramsgate, Boulogne-sur-Mer is one of the UK's major access points to France.

France's largest fishing port, Boulogne-sur-Mer is also one of Europe's major centers for the processing, wholesaling and retailing of seafood. Hence there is an excellent selection of restaurants near the port, with the town centre a 200m walk from the terminal. Facilities at the port aren't extensive, but include a newsagent, convenience store and a shop selling snacks and coffee.

You will also find a tourist information office positioned just over the bridge from the ferry terminal, across the road from the bus station. Further facilities include a small tax-free shop in the port.

Facilities for the disabled include adequate wheelchair access to all areas of the terminal, with disabled toilets provided in the building. Special assistance is available for boarding ferries, but the passenger should inform SpeedFerries when making their booking.
