Traveling to Port
Transportation to and from the Port of Ancona

Ancona is well connected to the rest of the country by rail and road, while ferries provide links to Albania, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro and Turkey. If you are leaving the port by car, you may travel on to other destinations by following the A14 which leads to Bologna and Pescara.
The Ferrovie dello Stato (FS), the Italian State Railways, has two main lines in the region - the coastal Milan-Bari line that connects up most of the seaside resorts and the trans-Italy Ancona-Rome line that joins up a few of the larger towns in the central part of the region.
The low fares airline RyanAir flies daily from London Stansted to the area's own airport, Ancona Falconara. Otherwise, Bologna airport is the handiest touchdown for scheduled flights.
