TT-Line

TT-Line, a privately-owned group of ferry operators, has been running a direct ferry service between Germany and southern Sweden since 1962. The Hamburg-based shipping company, a leader in its market, has staked its success on delivering quality and innovative technology. A total of seven vessels service the routes from Travemünde and Rostock to Trelleborg. TT-Line operates the most modern fleet in the Baltic Sea.
The company is proud to operate so-called 'Green Ships' and employ environmentally sound practices in its shipping operations. The deployment of the newly-built 'Green Ships' Nils Holgersson and Peter Pan makes the TT-Line the most environmentally sound fleet operating in the Baltic Sea today.
The company has earned the vote of Transport Company of the Year 2000 in Sweden and the Pax Award 2001. In the year 2002, TT-Line was awarded the prestigious Lucia prize for the best contribution toward promoting Sweden as a travel destination in Germany.

Safety onboard is of utmost importance at TT-Line. As a minimum standard, the company meets all safety measures and requirements of the international, regional and national safety regulations for ocean-going vessels which form the basis of the SOLAS Convention (Safety of Life at Sea) of the International Maritime Organisation IMO, a United Nations body.
On top of this, TT-Line has instituted its own safety and maintenance measures. For example, all of TT-Line vessels have their own computer-assisted maintenance and repair program, by which all necessary work can be scheduled and monitored. TT-Line's vessels have also all been designed and constructed in accordance with the latest technological developments and meet all the safety requirements in force, including the special requirements in terms of watertight integrity, which are into force for the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.
