Transmanche Ferries

Transmanche Ferries specialises in providing ferry services between Newhaven, in the UK, and Dieppe, in France. Transmanche Ferries was created in 2001 by government departments in the Seine Maritime region of France. Their aim was to maintain an all year round ferry service between Newhaven and Dieppe, in order to encourage trade and tourist links between Normandy and southeastern England.

Prior to 2001, there was no connection between Newhaven and Dieppe for 3 years. Now Transmanche operates two modern cruise ferry vessels on this route. Transmanche Ferries is now a subsidiary of Corsica Ferries, one of Italy's largest private ferry companies (the largest company in Italy currently is Moby Lines). The parent company and holding company is Tourship Italia SpA, which owns Sardinia Ferries as well.
