Tirrenia Navigazione fleet

The fleet is divided into three categories: new ferries, fast ferries and regular ferries. The new ferries include the Vincenzo Florio, Raffaele Rubattino, Bithia, Janas, Athara, Aurelia and Clodia. These ferries are large vessels capable of accommodating over 2,000 passengers and 900 cars, and ply the routes to and from Sardinia. Facilities include a self-service restaurant, traditional bar and sandwich bar, as well as a lounge hall capable of holding 600 persons. There is also a cinema onboard and a good selection of products in the shopping area.

The fast ferries include: the Aries, Scorpio, Capricorn, Taurus and Scatto. The Scatto is capable of accommodating 500 passengers, with a top speed of 40 knots. The Aries, Taurus, Scorpio and Capricorn vessels were added to the fleet in 1998 and 1999, and provide fast connections between Sardinia and Civitavecchia. Sailing at 40 knots, they significantly reduce the crossing times. The vessels can transport 1,800 passengers and 400 cars.

The ferries include: the Domiziana, Emilia, Flaminia, Nomentana and Torres. Most of these conventional ferries have undergone significant modernisation to meet the demands of today's ferry passengers. All these vessels have a capacity to transport 2,000 passengers and 400 cars.
