Symril Line fleet

Smyril Line currently operates one ferry, the M/F Norröna - it replaces the old Norröna, was which built in 1973. The new vessel was built in Germany in 2002, is 164 metres in length, with a top speed of 21 knots and has a much larger carrying capacity than the old Norröna. It can transport 1,482 passengers (400 more than the old Norröna), 800 cars and 44 trucks, and has 217 cabins of varying classes for passengers - which translates to a berth capacity for approximately 700 passengers. There are six deluxe cabins and 139 cabins that offer en suite bathrooms.

The vessel has a range of onboard services, including: bar, night club, restaurant, supermarket, perfume shop, gift shop, swimming pool, exercise room and children's games room. The Norröna is air-conditioned throughout for passenger comfort. The vessel complies with all international safety and maintenance codes.
