Stena Line operates two types of ferries: high-speed ferries (Fastcraft) and conventional ferries (Superferry).

The Fastcraft, which operates under the Stena HSS name, is the flagship vessel of the fleet. There are only three in the world, all operating under the Stena Line banner in the UK: Stena HSS Discovery, Stena HSS Voyager and Stena HSS Lynx. These vessels were built in 1996 in Finland and use jet propulsion for speeds up to 40 knots.

With a length of 127 metres and gross tonnage of almost 20,000 tonnes, Stena HSS is the largest fast ferry in the world. It can accommodate 1,500 passengers, 375 cars and 50 trucks. Onboard facilities include: cinema, three bars, two restaurants and a Burger King outlet, coffee shop, spacious lounges, gift shop, video arcade, bureau de change and a children's play area.

There are currently five Superferries in Stena Line's fleet: The Stena Europe, Stena Caledonia, Stena Adventurer, Stena Hollandica and Stena Brittanica.

The Stena Europe can accommodate 1,400 passengers and 480 cars, and has a vast range of onboard entertainment options and food outlets. Restaurants include the Food City self-service restaurant and O'Briens Irish sandwich bar. There are also shops, bureau de change, 'video warp', family lounge and the Stena Plus lounge. All cabins have en suite facilities. One cabin is equipped for disabled passengers.

The Stena Caledonia can accommodate 1,500 passengers and 285 cars. Onboard facilities include: a self-service restaurant, bar, snack lounge, gift shop, children's play area, mother and baby area, video lounge and gaming machines.

The Stena Adventurer is the latest addition to Stena Line's fleet. Built in 2003 in South Korea, this vessel has a top speed of 22 knots and is 211 metres in length. On board facilities include: a bureau de change, the Globetrotter bar and Globetrotter buffet, a restaurant area, a number of onboard boutiques, gaming machines, the Food City and bar. There are also blackjack tables, a cinema, conference rooms and a range of cabins.

Onboard the Stena Hollandica and Stena Brittanica, there's complimentary dinner and breakfast, as well as comfortable cabins, all boasting en suite bathrooms. Onboard facilities are similar to those of the other Superferries in the fleet.
