Norfolk Line fleet

The majority of Norfolk Line's fleet are freighters, with only three passenger vessels currently in operation. The three vessels are: the Northern Merchant, Midnight Merchant and Dawn Merchant.

The Northern Merchant was the first vessel in the company's passenger fleet and the Midnight Merchant was added in the summer of 2000. In the autumn of 2002, the Dawn Merchant was also added to the fleet, allowing Norfolk Line to increase its daily crossings on the Dover-Dunkerque route to 10 return trips. All three vessels are 22,000 tonne identical sister ships and the fleet is among the most modern operating on the Channel routes.

The Northern Merchant and Midnight Merchant have been modified to provide double deck loading and faster turnaround times. This allows more sailings, greater capacity, efficient service and shorter loading and unloading times. All vessels feature state of the art amenities. Onboard facilities include: a spacious lounge, restaurant, sleeper seats, bar, bureau de change, satellite television, video lounge and a shop.
