Hoverspeed fleet
Hoverspeed's fleet consists of the SeaCat and SuperSeaCat fast ferries, providing a journey that is all about speed, style and service. Neither ferry carries freight, allowing faster loading and unloading and eliminating unnecessary delays.
When they were first introduced in the 1990s, the SeaCats took the Transatlantic Blue Riband, and won and held for 8 years the Hales Trophy for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic. The SeaCat was built in Tasmania, Australia, and was the world's first car-carrying catamaran. The original 74-metre craft has been joined by the 81-metre SeaCat design, built by the same company. SeaCat uses a unique water-jet propulsion system and has a cruising speed of 35 knots and top speed of 40 knots. The SeaCat's wide beam gives it a spacious interior, allowing plenty of space for passengers to move around the craft easily. The vessel can carry up to 600 passengers and 80 cars.
Hoverspeed also operates the 81-metre SeaCat. This vessel offers greater vehicle and passenger capacity; it can carry 676 passengers and crew and 140 cars.

The SuperSeaCat combines all of SeaCat's proven virtues, with an even greater carrying capacity. This vessel was built in Genoa, Italy, and is 100 metres in length, with the capacity to carry 800 passengers and crew and 175 cars. The SuperSeaCat also has a top speed of 40 knots.
