The Solidor V was added to Emeraude Lines' fleet in 2001 and is basically a newer version of the Solidor IV. This vessel is 60 metres in length, has the ability to travel at speeds of 36 knots and can accommodate 450 passengers and 52 vehicles. The passengers areas are more luxurious than those on Solidor IV, including a saloon, club class area, cafeteria, duty-free shop and comfortable aircraft style seats (some with tables). As with Solidor IV, the computer controlled stabilisers provide an extra-smooth high-speed crossing.
