Caledonian MacBrayne fleet

CalMac's modern fleet provides a quick and efficient way to travel the islands and peninsulas of the west of Scotland. All vessels are equipped with a wide range of facilities and features designed to ensure comfortable and pleasurable voyages.
The fleet is made up of 30 vessels, of all sizes and types. The two newest vessels in the fleet are: M/V Loch Portain and M/V Coruisk.

The five largest vessels in CalMac's fleet, measuring over 90 metres in length, are: M/V Isle of Lewis (Stornoway route), with a capacity of 970 passengers and 101 vehicles; M/V Clansman (Coll/Tiree, Castlebay/Lochboisdale and Colonsay route), with a capacity of 638 passengers and 90 vehicles; M/V Hebrides (Tarbert and Lochmaddy route), with a capacity of 612 passengers and 98 vehicles; M/V Caledonian Isles (Arran), with capacity of 1,000 passengers and 110 vehicles; and the M/V Isle of Mull (Mull and Colonsay route), with a capacity of 963 passengers and 70 vehicles.
There are three vessels in the 85-metre class: M/V Hebridean Islea (Islay and Colonsay route), with a capacity of 494 passengers and 65 vehicles; M/V Isle of Arran (Islay route in the winter and otherwise general relief), with a capacity of 659 passengers and 62 vehicles; and the M/V Lord of the Isles (Armadale, Castlebay and Lochboisedale route), with a capacity of 506 passengers and 56 vehicles.
The remainder of CalMac's fleet consists of: 4 vessels in the 67-69 metre class, 16 vessels in the 22-54 metre class, 1 ferry boat (FB Laig Bay), and 2 vessels that are currently under charter (M/V Ali Cat and M/V Murneag).
