Travel Information
Sweden ports
Sweden presents visitors with an abundance of riches, everything from sophisticated cities to medieval towns and Europe's last untamed wilderness. Roughly the size of California, Sweden borders Finland to its northeast and Norway to its west. At the northern end is the Arctic Circle, with the Baltic Sea in the south. The south is where most of the population and cities are located, with much of the north uninhabited. Known for its warm summers and bitterly cold winters, Sweden is a land of lakes and forests, mountains and meadows. Space characterizes Sweden's vast forests, mountains, and national parks. Sometimes you can travel for miles without encountering another soul.
Stockholm boasts 24,000 islands, skerries and islets and has always been an important port. It is strategically located, offering easy access to the sea and the waterways of the Stockholm archipelago. Nowadays it is a business hub for the entire Baltic region, and offers regular ferry connections to Finland, Latvia and Estonia.
